My Guilt Free Snacks
I don’t know about you but I LOVE snacking. It is probably one of my most favourite time of the day and especially when I am working on content for my blog, it’s an absolute necessity that I have something to munch on. Being now that I am in my thirties and having had 1 child, I do find it is very easy for me to put on weight. I remember when I used to eat until my heart was content and gaining extra pounds never crossed my mind at all. Since I started on this health journey, I’ve been way more mindful of the foods that I choose to put in my body by avoiding refined sugar, low quality oils, limiting the consumption of additives and preservatives as well as making sure that I nourish my body the way it deserves. Of course I am by no means saying I have a perfect diet in fact, I believe in treating yourself because we deserve to live only our very best lives. Just because I am on this health journey doesn’t mean I deprive myself of treats I love and enjoy because let me tell you, I certainly do not. Below are some of my favourite guilt free snacks that I love, taste absolutely delicious and I’m confident that you will love it too.
1. Healthy Crunch The Big Chipotle Kale Chips - You either love kale chips or you don’t and for myself I absolutely LOVE kale chips especially these little guys. They are so flavourful, crunchy and packed with so much nutrients. I personally love this brand and everything I’ve tried from them (their coconut chips are BOMB) I’ve been so impressed with. Made with organic kale, clean ingredients and contains no preservatives. They are also vegan, non gmo, gluten free, and nut free.
2. Made Good Strawberry Granola - I love these little minis so much as a sweet treat and the packets makes it super easy to grab & throw in your purse for on the go. Has the right amount of sweetness and contains a serving of veggies per packet (spinach, broccoli, carrots, tomatoes, beets and shiitake)
3. Kettle Brand Tropical Salsa - When I am craving for potato chips, these are my absolute go to because they are packed with so much flavour, contains Ingredients that you can actually pronounce and cooked in avocado oil which is a high quality oil. Other oils such as canola oil for example is chemically and highly processed and does NOT belong in our bodies.
4. Giddy Yoyo Dark Chocolate Vanilla Salt - This satisfies my sweet tooth perfectly whenever I have a craving chocolate which happens to be always. Another reason why I love this so much is because it is packed with tons of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants and because it is made of out raw cacao, all the rich nutrients has been preserved so you are getting the full health benefits of the cacao.
