Fall Skincare Routine
I absolutely love everything about fall…the colours of the changing leaves, sights, smells, pumpkin spiced lattes and of course the fall fashion. However, my skin does not like the weather that comes with fall. Just like how our wardrobe changes per season, so should our skincare routine. During the winter, we need to ensure we moisturize our skin accordingly and provide the hydration it needs. I typically like to switch the products in my skincare routine a week to a couple of weeks prior to the new season so that it’ll allow me to prep my skin accordingly
Step 1: As always, I start any skincare routine by cleansing my skin with the Glamglow ThirstyCleanse Daily Treatment Cleanser. As mentioned in my previous post, I really love how this cleanser does an amazing job at not only cleansing my skin but does not strip away the oil and leaves my skin so incredibly hydrated and soft.
Step 2: This mask screams fall & I am all about that life. The Peter Thomas Roth Pumpkin Enzyme mask does a fantastic job at gently exfoliating your skin leaving it so radiant and smooth. Shortly after I cleansed my face, I gently pat it dry and immediately go in with this mask leaving it on for about 10 minutes (sometimes it stays on longer, does this happen to anyone else or is it just me?!)
Step 3: Serums and or essence are 100% necessary in any skincare regime. As stated in my previous post, they penetrate deep into the skin, WAY deeper than just a moisturizer alone and targets specific concerns you may have. The Laneige Water Bank Essence is such a HUGE skin saver when it comes fall and winter months. This essence has really change the texture, overall appearance of my skin and it provides around the clock hydration during cooler weathers. I truly believe that without this essence, my skin would not look as good as it does now.
Step 4: I got the Dr. Brandt Needles No More Baggage from my July BoxyCharm and it quickly made its way to my skincare routine. I really love the packaging, how skinny, travel friendly and so compact. This product does exactly what it claims to do - smooths under eyes, depuffs, and brightens.
Step 5: Finally sealing the deal with the Tarte Drink of H2O Hydrating Boost Moisturizer Rainforest of the Sea. After each application, it honestly feels like my skin drank a cup of water. It truly provides instant hydration to my skin and this is an absolute necessity in my skincare collection.
